Brightlives has also developed an essential program for adults called Happy Bodies.  A program designed to provide participants with foundational key health knowledge. Aiming to empower and create independance, to make healthy life choices, and reduce their risks and the burdens of chronic illness. Creating independant healthy lifestyle choices.

We provide information on the benefits of applying six key health foundations as well as tips and recommendations on how to implement these.

 

Our Workshops are designed to be highly interactive and fun in order to provide the best  opportunity for participants to absorb and apply the information.

We work as a team to achieve targets that are tailored to each individual throughout each workshop based on their individual needs.

6 KEY HEALTH PRINCIPLES

PRINCIPLE 1: SLEEP

Sleep has been scientifically proven to improve the immune system, memory, moods, our stress  levels social interactions, body health and weight.

Sleep also plays a large role in our mental wellbeing and daily functioning. The Australian sleep foundation has found that inadequate sleep is quite common, affecting 33-45% of Australian adults.

PRINCIPLE 3: NUTRITION

PRINCIPLE 2: HYDRATION

Every function of the body is monitored and pegged to the efficient flow of water.  Some scientifically proven benefits linked with water consumption are improved
physical performance, cognitive performance, digestion, heart and kidney function, skin quality. Adequate levels of hydration have also been shown to reduce the likelihood of disease.

2.1 Understanding the importance of water

2.2 Knowledge of their own personal hydration requirements.

2.3 Identify the signs of dehydration in their body

2.4 Apply healthy hydration principle to their current lifestyle

PRINCIPLE 4: EXERCISE

High quality nutrition has been scientifically linked with improvements in inflammation, weight loss, cardiovascular disease, skin quality, dental health, immune function and digestive function.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

3.1 Understanding the importance of consuming health food for our body

3.2 Knowing the implication of eating unhealthy food, and its long term effects

3.3 Address their own personal nutritional needs, including food, and their environment.

3.4 Apply healthy nutritional principles to their current lifestyle

Adequate levels of exercise have been scientifically linked with improved moods, reduction in body fat, increases in muscle mass and bone density, improved energy levels, improved brain health, improved immune system and a reduction of cardiovascular risk and other chronic diseases.

PRINCIPLE 6: MINDSET

Every system in the body relies on oxygen. From cognition to digestion, effective breathing can not only provide you with a greater sense of mental clarity, it can also help you sleep better, digest food more efficiently, improve your body's immune response, and reduce stress levels

Mindset will address participants thoughts, emotions, purpose and stress management techniques. Possessing a high sense of purpose in life is
associated with a reduced risk for all-cause mortality and cardiovascular events while excessive stress hormones have been scientifically shown to negatively impact learning and memory, the immune system, the cardiovascular system function, the
digestive system and the hormonal system
