Our Clinicians

Monica Reeves
CEO of Brightlives
Clinical Nurse Consultant
Monica is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of experience and the founder of Brightlives. She still works directly with families, carrying a hands-on caseload of complex continence assessments.
Her career has taken her from more than ten years as a remote area nurse in communities across Northern Australia, to chronic disease care coordination, clinical education with Justice Health NSW, and senior disability and aged care nursing with CatholicCare. Along the way she learnt to stay calm, adapt, and focus on what actually works.
Monica's assessments are for anyone experiencing continence issues, and she brings extra depth where autism or sensory needs are part of the picture. Every recommendation needs to be clinically sound and workable in everyday life, with the person's dignity at the centre.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (Nursing), Charles Darwin University. Postgraduate Certificate in Autism Studies, Griffith College. Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy. Currently completing a Master's in Autism Studies at Griffith University.

Arlene Foster
Continence Nurse
Enrolled Nurse
Arlene is an enrolled nurse and part of the Brightlives continence team, working alongside Monica to deliver continence assessments for NDIS and private clients.
In her role, Arlene takes the time to get to know each person: their health, their daily routines, and the family members, carers or support workers around them. That understanding is what turns advice on paper into strategies that actually work at home, at school or at work.
Arlene shares the Brightlives commitment to dignity. Continence can be a hard thing to talk about, and she works to make sure every person feels heard, comfortable and supported, with care that is practical, respectful and fitted to their everyday life.

Qualifications: Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) Tafe NSW.
